Meet Jilly: Candy (Wo)Man

These just aren’t the “dog days” of summer, but the cat days, too. The kitties in our Adoption Center enjoy the sunshine streaming into their free-roaming cat room windows. It’s great to see them so happy and comfortable.

Adopt Jilly

Jilly, just chillin’

This is Jilly, one of our thrift shop kitties. After closing, several of our adoptable cats roam the shop. Jilly is busier than most. She prepares a surprise almost every night.

She scoops pieces of hard candy out of the candy dish on the checkout counter, and leaves a perfectly spaced trail of candy from the checkout counter into the main showroom.

In between pieces of candy, she leaves a favorite toy. Sometimes it’s a catnip mouse, or a ball with a bell inside.

In the morning our volunteers arrive to a delightful trail of candy > toy > candy > toy, and on and on. Jilly sits there expectantly, waiting for us to praise her.

Adopt Jilly

This beautiful orange and white double-pawed adult is sweet and gentle, and will be a loving and entertaining new addition to your home.

Jilly does have allergy sensitivities and requires a diet of canned z/d, available from any vet. But that’s a minor inconvenience for such a delightful family member!

Come visit her soon — maybe during Maverick Nights, every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 5-7pm

Who knows? Maybe she’ll bring you a piece of candy!

If you appreciate our No-Kill work, please consider making a small donation.

Thank you for supporting Safe Haven's No Kill rescue work

The kitties thank you!
