K.C. update

K.C. is scheduled to receive her iodine radiation treatment Aug. 21. Meanwhile, we’ve received another contribution toward her expensive treatment from two new friends.

Thank you, Andrew and Robin, for your kindness and help toward K.C.’s needed medical treatment. We will keep you updated on her progress. Yes, more donations are still needed for this upcoming medical procedure.

K.C.’s story:

We rescued this older stray last October. She was obviously ill, and tests indicated Feline Hyperthyroidism. This disease is fairly common among older cats. It can sometimes be treated with medication, but K.C. proved allergic to each one we tried.

Her remaining option is radioactive iodine treatment, which cures 97% of hyperthyroid cats. This treatment will cost about $1,350 but first she requires preliminary blood work, which costs an additional $400.

This expense, on top of the emergency vet bills for dear Mathias, will be tough for us to afford. So we’re asking everyone to please send in a contribution for K.C.’s much-needed treatment.

Please keep your fingers crossed for this girl. We hope to give her a longer, healthier life. When she’s medically stable, K.C. will be available for adoption. She deserves a great home!

If you appreciate our No-Kill work, please consider making a small donation.

Thank you for supporting Safe Haven's No Kill rescue work
