As Safe Haven has grown, so have our expenses. More and more cats are surrendered to us, a NO KILL group, instead of a municipal shelter where they face an uncertain future.

In 2009 we spent over $60,000 on vet bills. It’s anyone’s guess how high it will go this year.

Then there are the mundane (but substantial!) expenses like cat food, cat litter, cat toys, bedding, laundry, rent and utilities. (You don’t even want to know about our electric bill!)

Every penny we spend on humane cat rescue, medical care, food and supplies has to come from somewhere — and someone like you. If you love animals, please donate what you can.

Suggested amounts:

$10 sponsors one cat for one month
$36 is a one-year membership
$100
works out to about $2 a week — less than the cost of a cup of coffee
$365 is a dollar a day — a Coke from a vending machine.

You decide the amount that’s right for you. Every dime and dollar helps. Thanks!
