Is Blackie’s future as dark as his coat?

BlackieBeautiful Blackie (photo) is pure black with glowing eyes. He was abandoned at our adoption center, with a note saying they couldn’t afford him anymore and that he needed special food to stay healthy. Poor Blackie.

Imagine how he must have felt, left behind outside, locked in a carrier, in an unfamiliar place, watching his family drive away forever.

Luckily he was left at OUR door.

When Safe Haven volunteers looked inside the carrier and saw his sad face, we fell in love on the spot. Blackie’s medical condition is easily controlled with a diet of ProPlan canned food, so he’s fine and healthy again.

Blackie was already adopted once, but they ignored his diet requirements. Due to health issues, he was returned to us.

So dear Blackie has already had two homes in his life. He’s overdue to find his forever person, and enjoy the security and love that only come from a responsible and loving home.

Blackie is happy and healthy, only 5-6 years old, very sweet and lovable. He’s easy to handle and would be fine in a home with cat-friendly children. Because Blackie requires a special diet, it would be easiest if he could be an only kitty, to prevent him from sneaking other kitties’ food.

He’s waiting to see you at our adoption center. Please visit and fall in love! Adoption Center hours are 11-4pm Wed-Sat, 1420 Post Rd, next to Wells Library 646-1611.
